This course focuses on understanding and enhancing functional posture as well as techniques to promote optimal biomechanics, health, and performance. Participants will learn to assess postural imbalances, identify compensatory patterns, and apply therapeutic techniques to restore functional alignment.

Combining theoretical insights and hands-on practice, this course equips equine professionals or owners with tools to improve posture-related issues and enhance overall equine well-being.

Learning Objectives

  • Develop skills for evaluating static and dynamic posture
  • Develop palpation skills to explore common areas influencing functional posture
  • Identify common postural dysfunctions and compensatory patterns in horses
  • Integrate exercises such as mobilizations and therapeutic movement to correct postural imbalances
  • Apply environmental alterations to enhance functional posture

Prerequisites
This course is open to horse owners, riders, trainers, saddle fitters, bodyworkers, and equine healthcare professionals. A working knowledge of veterinary terminology and anatomy is helpful, but newcomers to the field are welcome provided they have solid horse-handling skills.
