Dr. Raquel Butler
Dr. Raquel Butler graduated from Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) Melbourne University in 2004, worked in mixed practice in Australia and overseas for 8 years before branching into Integrated Veterinary Therapeutics, her own mobile based practice treating animals with body work. She is an Equine Muscle Release Therapy (EMRT) practitioner and has completed a Graduate Diploma in Animal Biomechanical Medicine encompassing chiropractic and osteopathic and rehabilitation techniques as well as obtaining a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in 2022 and a Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education in 2020. She has studied many therapies including CranioSacral, Masterson, Acupuncture Oriented Energetics, Myofascial acupuncture currently completing a Graduate Diploma in Animal Acupuncture. Raquel teaches clinics for both horse owners and professionals in Equine anatomy, biomechanics, postural development and vetkin taping nationally and internationally and spent over 5 years teaching subjects relating to Equine disease, injury, rehabilitation, locomotion and exercise physiology in the Bachelor Equine Science at Charles Sturt University.
Raquel has been mentored by Sharon May-Davis in anatomy and biomechanics and undertaken over 20 dissections to develop her knowledge of the connections within the horse. As the Animal BIomechanical Professionals Association President and a teacher in the Animal BIomechanical Medicine course she is very passionate about improving the life of the horse and creating expansion for all horse people through her clinics and treatments as well as continuing to build her knowledge and skills.
